FortisBC Rebates

FortisBC’s Commercial Product Rebate Program (the “Program”) provides product-specific rebates to eligible applicants. The Program aims to stimulate investment in qualifying high-efficiency products (the “Products”, or individually, the “Product”) in commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.

Whether you’re building a new commercial kitchen or upgrading your existing appliances, FortisBC offers several programs that provide rebates to eligible customers for purchasing qualifying products. Many rebates are even applied instantly at the point of sale, making it easier than ever to invest in energy-efficient solutions.

Who Can Apply

  • Must be a FortisBC natural gas customer.
  • Must be the owner or lessee of the facility, or the owner of the appliance.

    • Installation Requirements

    • Appliances must be installed in a commercial kitchen or foodservice facility.
    • Equipment must be installed within 180 days of the purchase invoice date.

    Application Requirements

    • Submit a complete application with supporting documentation within 365 days of the earlier of the purchase or installation date.
    • Only appliances listed on FortisBC’s official eligible product list qualify.

    Rebate Details

    FortisBC offers rebates from $500 to $3,500 per appliance. Before you purchase, make sure the model you choose is eligible for a rebate by checking our list of eligible appliances.

    Griddle $500 per griddle
    Combination Ovens $1,200 per oven
    Convection Ovens $400 per stacked oven
    Rack Ovens $1,400 per oven
    Conveyor Ovens (more than 25 inches conveyor width) $1,000 per stacked oven
    Steam Cooker $800 per steam cooker

    How To Apply

    1. Ensure the appliances you plan to buy are ENERGY STAR® Certified or on the Eligible Appliance List. If you have questions, contact us before you purchase and install any appliances.’
    2. Contact an equipment installer licensed with Technical Safety BC and Certified By The Appliance Manufacturer to install your eligible cooking appliance(s).
    3. Submit your completed Natural Gas Kitchen Equipment Rebate Application within 365 days of the purchase date (as shown on the paid invoice) or installation date (as shown on the application form), whichever is first. Be sure to provide copies of the paid invoice indicating the purchase date, make and model number of the cooking appliances(s) purchased and the installation address. (Note: the paid invoice must be addressed to the applicant.)
